The State of Montana Mathematics Education Forum
September 21-22, 2009

Eighty excited educators from across Montana joined their colleagues to learn more about Montana K-12 Standards-Based Education. Participants listened to a district's journey toward standards-based education, examined the differences being made through a showcase of some K-12 and postsecondary collaboration projects, and worked collaboratively with colleagues during the Forum.

The Office of Public Instruction (OPI) staff planned this event with great anticipation that it will be the first annual meeting to communicate, collaborate and engage participants in thoughtful conversations about standards-based education and current kindergarten - postsecondary projects.

The presentations, discussions, and conclusions have been captured and placed here for others to learn from the Forum, and to continue the converstation. The following Wordles capture the report forms from individuals. The documents are a compilation of the forms turned in by individual participants.
